Buckle up because con season isn't just coming, it's basically kicking down our front door. We spent the whole winter hunkered down in the studio with Pat working away at the drafting table and getting every piece cut just right. Now it's finally time to trade the quiet for that beautiful, chaotic energy of the convention floor.
We are so excited to get back out there and see everyone. We have missed that "con magic" you only get when a room is full of people geeking out over the same fandom. We got a bunch of new handmade pieces we can't wait to show you.
March is gonna be a total whirlwind. We have three shows in five weeks, so we're having to divide and conquer to make it all work. Here is the breakdown of who is gonna be where:
March 13–15: AwesomeCon (Pat, Alexis, and Kim)
March 19–22: MegaCon (Pat) & GalaxyCon Richmond (Alexis and Kim)
March 27–29: Planet Comicon (Pat) & C2E2 (Alexis and Kim)
And the rest of the year is looking pretty stacked too:
April 11–12: SC Comicon (Applied)
April 18–19: Book Con
May 28–31: Fan Expo Denver
June 5–7: Phoenix Fan Fusion (Waitlisted, so fingers crossed!)
June 13–14: Undiscovered Realm Con
July 10–12: GalaxyCon New Orleans
July 22–26: SDCC (Just waiting on that invoice!)
August 20–23: Anime NYC (Applied)
September 11–13: GalaxyCon Des Moines
September 24–26: Salt Lake Fan X (Applied)
October 8–11: New York Comic Con
And more to come!
Thinking about getting back on the road reminds us why we love doing this. Last year, Alexis and Kim were helping a guy who was on a total mission. He came up to the booth looking like he just ran a marathon and told us he needed a gift for his girlfriend's birthday. She was a "super fan of literally everything."
He spent like twenty minutes going back and forth between a Star Wars piece and something from The Legend of Zelda. Every time he'd pick one, he would go, "Wait, but she also loves Narnia... and she just started Jujutsu Kaisen!" Alexis and Kim finally had to stage a "fandom intervention" to help him narrow it down to the perfect print that hit her favorite niche.
By the time he actually bought it, he was so relieved he almost walked off without his bag! Alexis had to chase him down! If you're reading this, man, please swing by at AwesomeCon. We've been dying to know if that gift actually got you those "Boyfriend of the Year" points or if she just wants to get more prints to compliment the one you gave her.
Whether you're in Richmond, Chicago, Orlando, or wherever, come say hey. We can't wait to talk nerd and show you the new stuff Pat's been working on.
